SI Group Moves Headquarters

A chemical company with a Baytown facility moved its corporate headquarters from New York to The Woodlands to take advantage of the region’s dominance in the petrochemical industry. The company also purchased laboratory space in the Houston area.
SI Group has a manufacturing facility at 4604 West Baker Road in Baytown and another in Freeport.
A company spokesman said Baytown operations will not be affected.
“We are actively growing our talent base in the Houston area—the decision to create two new spaces in this region is strategically aligned with our desire to be near the epicenter of our industry in the United States,” said Brooke Manrique, senior vice president of human resources and communications. The new headquarters is at 1790 Hughes Landing Blvd. in The Woodlands.
SI Group has 20 facilities in North America, Europe and Asia and produces performance additives, process solutions, active pharmaceutical ingredients and chemical intermediates.
