TALKE USA opens first multi-user warehouse in Baytown
November 17, 2025
A new facility for a globally leading logistics solutions company serving the world of chemistry marked its grand opening in Baytown as TALKE USA’s warehouse started operations Monday.
The 150,000 sq. ft. facility is located at 6944 Nita Way and is the first multi-user warehouse in the Cedar Port Industrial Park, the largest master-planned rail-and-barge-served industrial park in the United States.
“We’re extremely proud of this facility and what it will mean to Baytown and surrounding communities and elated that this opening will springboard our ‘TALKE ’BOUT Our Community campaign,’" Richard Heath, chief executive officer and president of TALKE USA, said.
TALKE USA is the American arm of a global business named after founder Alfred Talke and headquartered in Hürth, Germany. It operates two dozen worldwide locations reaching from Southeast Asia through Europe and the Middle East to North America. TALKE USA began operating out of Baytown in 2016.
The new facility expects to employ locally, according to TALKE spokesperson Mark Edwards. The freight operations department will relocate to the facility.
Job opportunities for Baytown and Mont Belvieu residents will be posted as the warehouse increases staffing in the opening season.
“TALKE is proud to create new opportunities for the Baytown and Mont Belvieu communities,” Edwards said.
According to Edwards, the company chose Baytown for the facility because of its proximity to their operations for the petrochemical industry and access to Port Houston by railway.
“As a major user of Port Houston, it was essential for us to have fast access to the port, and as can be seen by the large distribution centers in the vicinity, this is a key logistical hub,” Edwards said. “While a large part of the movements are likely to be import and export, rail access was a key part of the decision, in order to ensure domestic capabilities.”
